Sales Manager – West Coast

The West Coast Sales Manager will be responsible for demonstrating and selling the suite of Canopy applications to prospective food manufacturers and distributors, ancillary hardware, and third-party software, to new food industry prospects.

Responsibilities (partial list):

• Learn, understand, and be able to articulate how the full suite of Canopy modules functions and how this functionality fits specific needs of targeted food companies.

• Research companies and why they may be (or not be) a fit for Canopy.

• Evaluate the hardware and software needs of potential clients, including on-site visits.

• Execute sales demonstrations of the entire Canopy suite of applications either in-person or remotely.

• Create detailed assessments and quotes based on those needs discovered.

• Participate in Trade Shows where Aspen is an exhibitor.

• Assist the Marketing group for assigned territory in selecting target prospects.

• Review new releases of Canopy, learn how these changes function within the software.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience within the food industry.

• ERP Software sales experience a significant plus.

• Experience in communicating with C-Level positions required.

• Ability to communicate with the front-line laborers at prospect sites and understand their needs and skill-level.

• Capacity to be a self-learner.

• Strong desire to hunt for prospects.

• Experience demonstrating software in person, over internet, “one-on-one” and “one- to-many” settings.

• Experience using Canopy a significant plus.

• Accounting and/or Inventory experience a plus.

• Experience meeting sales quotas.

• Familiarity with Microsoft’s Office Suite.

• Travel required, approximately 25%.

Client Solutions Specialist – Scottsdale, Arizona

In this role, the primary responsibility is for an inbound service queue. Customers telephone or email problems, issues, questions, etc, with regard to Canopy (Aspen’s ERP product) and its enhanced modules. Client Solutions Specialists are expected to take ownership of an issue and see it through to a “closed” status. Applicants will need great communication skills and the ability to deliver service with confidence and an easy temperament. Ability to work well under pressure is essential. You will be required to produce “SPECS” (specifications) for the programming department for custom items within Canopy that a customer may need. Additional job requirements will be to assist with managing the office phone and emailed requests for service, participate in the Aspen User Forum, and deliver software upgrades or train customers on installing their own upgrades. This position is located at Aspen’s headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona. The preferred requirements are 1-3 years’ experience in a customer service role, experience with SQL Server, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business, CIS (or equivalent), Accounting, or any relevant degree.

Implementation Specialist – Scottsdale, Arizona

In this role, you will manage implementation projects for Aspen Systems’ flagship Canopy ERP product and its enhanced modules. Duties include analyzing a business’s needs and then deploying each of Canopy’s modules into those functional areas. Modules include all accounting modules, distribution, warehouse management, production floor management, scanning and barcode labeling, purchasing and procurement, inventory control, order management and delivery. Once assigned a new contract, you will own that implementation until “go live”. Implementations are managed via a combination of phone, email and web support via connection to the customer’s servers. Training is delivered to clients at the Aspen headquarters as well as at the customer site. This position requires approximately 25% travel. Our employees are based out of our Scottsdale, Arizona headquarters.

Qualifications:

• 3 – 5 years’ experience working with an ERP in an implementation role.

• BS in Computer Information Systems, Business Management, Information Technology, Accounting, etc.

• Solid and professional customer service skills and project management abilities are required, as is the ability to manage changing priorities.

• Strong collaboration with other departments, such as Development and Quality Assurance, is a must.

• SQL query writing experience is strongly preferred.

• Accounting experience and familiarity with building financial statements is a plus.

• Food Industry experience is a plus.

Quality Assurance Analyst – Scottsdale, Arizona

Aspen Systems, a leader in food industry software, has an opening for a full time Quality Assurance Analyst. We are developers of a fully integrated ERP System, including Accounting, Inventory Control, Order Management and more.

The successful candidate will:

• Develop appropriate comprehensive testing strategies based on real customer requirements

• Test software modifications and report any deficiencies to development

• Thoroughly test software releases

• Perform regression testing

Requirements:

• Good written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage your own time effectively

• Attention to detail

• Software testing or programming experience is a plus but is not required

Consideration will be given to candidates with experience in software testing, SQL, programming, accounting or business. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is helpful.
